Nestly is a household organizer. This page describes, in plain language, what it collects about your family and why. It is not a substitute for reading the code, which is the real source of truth (see this project’s own security documentation if you want the detailed version).

What we collect

An account (your email, and your name if you sign in with Google), the household information you enter or connect (members, events, meals, groceries, pantry items, preferences, and memories you choose to add), and, if you connect them, calendar events from Google Calendar or TeamSnap. We never infer allergies from behavior, and we never claim to know what is physically in your kitchen; we only say what you told us. If you scan a receipt, the photo is deleted after 30 days, or after 7 if you never save it; the items you saved stay. We also keep the dinner goals you choose and how past dinners went (never inferred), and you can remove them at any time.

Who it’s shared with

Nobody, except the infrastructure that runs Nestly: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and, only for the features you turn on, Google (sign-in and Calendar), TeamSnap (team schedules), and an AI provider used to answer questions you ask Nestly, read receipts, and suggest dinners (it receives your goals, allergies, dislikes and age ranges, never names). We do not sell your data, and there is no advertising on Nestly.

Sign-in with Google

If you sign in or create an account with Google, we request only your name, email address, and Google account ID (the openid, email, and profile scopes). That’s enough to create your account, nothing more. Connecting Google Calendar is a separate, explicit step with its own consent screen, and you can disconnect it at any time without losing your account.

The iPhone app

On iPhone you can sign in with Apple. Apple shares your email with Nestly, or a private relay address if you choose to hide it. If you turn on reminders, your phone schedules them itself; each one shows an event’s title and time, never anyone’s name. The microphone and camera are used only while you are using them.

Family sharing features

Family Circles and Memory Streams are visible only to the people you explicitly invite or share with. There is no public feed, no followers, and nothing designed to maximize how often you open the app.

Deleting your data

You can delete your household or your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is real: it removes the underlying data, not just your access to it.
